Active and Reactive Power Control of the Voltage Source Inverter in an AC Microgrid

This paper presents the mathematical model and control of a voltage source inverter (VSI) connected to an alternating current (AC) microgrid. The VSI considered in this is six switches three-phase Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) inverter, whose output active reactive power controlled dq reference frame. strategy presented here state feedback with disturbance cancellation. signal either provided by sensor or estimated using extended high gain observer (EHGO). without EHGO requires sensor, only sensor. saving requirement stability analysis showing that error ultimately bounded presence disturbance, formed due inverters. microgrid simulated SimPowerSystems Toolbox MATLAB/Simulink. simulation results are also effectiveness proposed strategy, achieved errors. comparison PI-based scheme presented, it shown better tracking desired settling time “0.04 s” control.
